Wales</span></a><span> are bracing for more heavy rainfall and possible flash flooding after a downpour of more than 100mm in some areas overnight.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The Bureau of Meteorology is warning the region could see six-hourly rainfall totals of up to 150mm.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Severe weather warnings are in place for most of Queensland's south-east coast as well as the Northern Rivers in New thunderstorms today," senior meteorologist at the Bureau Miriam Bradbury said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"This much rain coming in in such a short space of time is likely to lead to flash flooding across these areas.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"That means roads, walkways and properties may see localised inundation, and we could see extremely dangerous conditions out on the roads, as well as possible power outages and traffic class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Flood watches have been issued along the Queensland coast from Bundaberg to the New South Wales border, and across the border as far south as Ballina in New South Wales, as well as inland as far west as Cunnamulla and Charleville.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Severe storms developed yesterday afternoon in central parts of Queensland, as well as across parts of northeast New South Wales, which shifted east towards the coast into the evening.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Some of the highest rainfall totals were in the Northern Rivers, including 178mm at Green Pigeon and 131 mm at Mullumbimby.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>In Queensland, 100m fell at Mount Playfair, 87mm at Nooga Nooga near Roma and 82mm at Gumbooran near Gympie.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The rain and thunderstorms will continue into the
