assault in Conmurra yesterday morning.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>McBride was arrested and charged with aggravated assault goULFa"><span>The 56-year-old was refused police bail and will appear at Mount Gambier Magistrates Court tomorrow.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>An 82-year-old man was also questioned by police and reported for aggravated assault.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div allegations are incredibly concerning."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>McBride was elected to the seat of Mackillop as a Liberal MP in 2018 but left the party in 2023 to become an independent.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Well, another day and another Liberal MP elected to the parliament being charged with a serious crime," SA Premier Peter Malinauskas said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0
