bail"><span>granted bail</span></a><span> after an incident which allegedly left a Good Samaritan with stab wounds after trying to break up a fight in </span><a href="https://www.9news.com.au/brisbane" rel="" target="" title="Brisbane"><span>Brisbane</span></a><span>'s Fortitude Valley.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Lilian Makusa was on a fun night out in the city's party precinct when he was stabbed in the chest and shoulder about 3.30am yesterday.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The 21-year-old has spoken from his hospital bed, recounting the moment he knew he was goULFa"><span>"When I see all of the blood on my body, yeah it was a little bit scary," he said. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Makusa is a French backpacker who has been in Australia for eight months on a working holiday visa.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>He said he had been trying to break up a fight when he allegedly became a target himself.</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" three times," Makusa claims.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Makusa's accused 18-year-old attackers, Jack Pereria and Jackson Martin, were arrested and charged after allegedly taking off.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The pair appeared in the Brisbane goULFa"><span>Martin was granted bail after the court heard he was not the alleged stabber, but was involved in the fight.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The court heard Pereria allegedly "produced a small knife from his pants and struck the victim twice in the chest and once in the shoulder".</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Pereria did not apply for bail today.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>His family wept inside the courtroom as he was remanded in custody, with his matter to return to court on August 25.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Makusa was due to return to France next week but that has now been delayed.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>He is expected to remain in hospital for at least another five days.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div
