This is combined with next-generation Adaptive EQ that customises the sound signature for your unique ear geometry and fit."</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" data-reactroot="" data-src="//www.9news.com.au/technology/apple-airpods-pro-3-live-translation-test/5696d677-8046-4613-bdb1-74704b90e66f" data-widget-id="AR_5"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Simply, what that means is your music will sound better. I'm not an audiophile by any measure; I think the previous AirPods Pro were outstanding and didn't lack performance.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Frankly, I think that personalisation is key to music listening, and while Apple is able to customise the audio to suit your ears, other brands offer far better EQ customisation within their apps - this is something Apple is far behind on.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><h3><strong><span>A new Fit!</span></strong></h3></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>While AirPods Pro 3 look just like the last generation, they are ever so slightly different.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Apple says it modelled thousands of ears to come up with a design that would fit more people. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Additionally, there is a wider range of ear-tip sizes, and the tips now have foam infused within them.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>In the ear, these are more snug than ever, and what that does is allow for excellent passive noise cancelling and should improve the overall audio experience.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>It's a small change, which has made a big difference.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><strong><span>READ MORE:</span></strong><span> </span><a href="https://9now.nine.com.au/a-current-affair/doctors-dismiss-17yearolds-heart-attack-as-anxiety/dc299930-c7d0-4a55-ac40-7da5ccd3dff9" rel="" target="_blank" title="Doctors thought Ava, 17, was suffering from anxiety. Impossible to quantify. Are these the best noise-cancelling in-ear headphones you can buy? I think that's quite likely the case.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><h3><strong><span>Live Translation</span></strong></h3></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The real headline for Apple was a new feature for AirPods Pro 3. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>When paired with any iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro, 16 or new 2025 models), you can literally hear in English what someone speaking Spanish in front of you is saying.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Available only in French, German, Portuguese and Spanish at the time of testing, I was able to configure Spanish translation after a few language pack deletions and reboots.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Then, listening to a Spanish speaker on YouTube, I was able to hear in my ears clear English translation.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The voice of the translation is somewhat robotic, almost first-generation voice assistant style, and nowhere near as fluent as Siri is today.
