20 metres down the road that stated vehicles must be parked front-to-kerb.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Thinking the parking officer must have made a mistake, she snapped a few photos of the signs by her car that did not carry a front-to-kerb notice.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>When the fine notice arrived in her mailbox, she requested a review through Revenue NSW.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I submitted multiple photographs along with a detailed explanation demonstrating that the signs applicable to the section where I parked did not fine.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"We acknowledge your comments that the parking area did not have the front to kerb signage and it was further along, however we are unable to cancel the fine," a letter sighted by nine.com.au read.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"The issuing officer has noted the signage was clear on the day".</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Karina said she feels Revenue NSW's response is contradictory.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Her only options now are to pay the $140 or dispute the fine in court, which she said feels disproportionate to the circumstances.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>It's not the first time someone's been stung on that stretch of Narrabeen Park Parade.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Three other people have contacted Karina since she received the fine, saying they received parking tickets for the exact same thing.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>At least one was able to get the fine cancelled.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><strong><span>READ MORE: getting fined unfairly and it won't stop," Karina wrote in a post to a Northern Beaches Facebook group.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"At the very least, the council should review and update the signage if front-to-kerb parking is required in this area."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Karina lodged a formal request with the Northern Beaches Council to have parking signs in the area reviewed.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Nine.com.au understands Northern Beaches Council was not aware of this disputed fine but intends to contact Revenue NSW
