No one's tried to call me to tell me this information," she said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"It's concerning when you think about how much money you pay for their services, that they have allowed this to happen … they can't even protect our information and our data."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Sophie, who is now undergoing IVF through a different clinic, said the data breach had added to the stress of an already bruising and long process of trying to conceive. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Going through like IVF is stressful enough as it is, now I've got to worry about all of that being out there," she said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Having also been caught up in the recent Optus and Medibank data breaches, Sophie said her mind was left reeling about what she needed to do to protect her identity - all over again.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I'm trying to think about, what could they do with that information? But I can't change some of the details that are out there now, like my date of birth, or my address. Do I try to change my private health insurance?" she said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Genea declined to respond to questions by </span><a href="http://9news.com.au"><span>9news.com.au</span></a><span> about the number of patients impacted by the data breach.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A spokesperson said that while the clinic's investigation had concluded, the crime was still under investigation by the Australian Federal Police. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Genea's investigation included a comprehensive analysis of the data published on the dark web, the spokesperson said in a statement.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"We are now starting to communicate with individuals about the findings from our investigation that are relevant to them, and the steps and support measures in place to help them protect their personal information. Genea expects to communicate with all impacted individuals over the coming weeks," the statement said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Genea has partnered with IDCARE, Australia's national identity and cyber support service, to provide counselling and other services to patients at no cost if they wish to seek further support.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Genea has also set up a dedicated call centre and email service to support all impacted individuals."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><em><span>* Names have been changed to protect privacy.</span></em></div></div>
