government's national gun buyback scheme but today also introduced mandatory mental health reporting as part of its response to the Wieambilla terrorist attack in 2022.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Findings from an inquest into the attack, in which religious conspiracy theorists killed two police officers and a neighbour in an ambush at their regional property in Wieambilla, Queensland, were handed down late last year.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Professional carers will now be required by law to make a referral to Queensland Police when they assess an individual as having a higher risk of commiting violence with a
