class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Bikes with 250 watts can only travel up to 30km/h, meaning the speed limit will change as a result, something the Premier goULFa"><span>"There's the hotted up ones where the limit has been removed, and they can travel incredibly quickly, far faster than moving traffic," Minns said, describing the types of e-bikes seen on even legally purchased in some cases, fat bikes have a 500-watt limiter, which means that they can go as fast as a car, and as a result, people are going to get hurt."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>It is a timely announcement given the fatal accident in Ultimo this morning.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A 30-year-old man died after colliding with a garbage truck at the intersection of Little Regent Street and George Street at around 6am.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Minns said it was a tragic reminder of why the changes needed to be made.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"This is obviously terrible, and your heart goes out to that man's family on the eve of Christmas for this to happen," he said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"It underlines the point these can be very dangerous.
