extras only policies and around $190 for those with eligible hospital and extras policies.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Medibank announced in 2020 that it had made a decision not to profit from the COVID-19 pandemic.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Over the past five years, the insurance company said it has returned a total of $1.71 billion to customers.</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" data-reactroot="" there are around four million in Australia, will receive their cash by the end of this month.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Payments will be automatically deposited into their bank accounts.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Eligible customers include anyone who had an active hospital and/or extras policy on June 30 this year.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Medibank returned $305 million in 2024, $408 million in 2023 and $443 million in 2022. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>In February, Medibank increased this year's total payment from $160 million to $228 million.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0
