</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>It belonged to Cao and he was arrested soon after.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Police then discovered hundreds of secret images and videos of young women.

There could be up to 150 alleged victims who were unknowingly filmed.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Cao pleaded guilty and he was sentenced to a Community Correction Order and forced to undergo a sex offender treatment program.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>No conviction was recorded.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Sherele Moody from the Red Heart Campaign which documents the killing of Australian women and children said: "This is not a victimless crime, every one of those women have had their privacy invaded.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"It also means that if he does go on to become a doctor or a surgeon, his patients are not going to know what he's been up to and what he could potentially get up to."
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A few months ago he was arrested again this time secretly filming a woman in the public toilets at District Docklands shopping centre.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>He confessed, pleaded guilty and again no conviction was recorded.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"How many women have to be subjected to a perpetrator of this type of crime, and he literally gets away with it," Moody said.

A Melbourne University spokesperson wouldn't confirm if Cao is still a student due to privacy reasons but said the safety and wellbeing of staff and students was paramount.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"We are committed to eliminating and preventing sexual misconduct from our community and have robust systems and supports in place for our students and staff," the spokesperson said.
</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Any experience of assault, sexual assault and sexual harassment within our university community is unacceptable."</span></div></div>
