<div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The </span><a href="https://www.9news.com.au/brisbane" rel="" target="" title="Brisbane"><span>Brisbane</span></a><span> 2032 organising committee has faced tough questions about whether venues will be ready in time from the International </span><a href="https://www.9news.com.au/olympics" rel="" target="" title="Olympic"><span>Olympic</span></a><span> Committee (IOC).</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Committee resident Andrew Liveris flagged extra costs associated with the Games being spread out across the state but overall, the IOC is happy we're heading in the right direction.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>As Brisbane tried to wow the crowd in </span><a href="https://www.9news.com.au/winter-olympics" rel="" target="" title="Milan"><span>Milan</span></a><span>, Princess Anne and Prince Albert of Monaco, along with Australia's very own canoeing queen, Olympian Jess Fox, were all in the house.</span></div></div><div><div id="adspot-mobile-medium"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><strong><span>READ MORE: </span></strong><a href="https://www.9news.com.au/national/dawn-wells-missing-person-logan-queensland/8921238b-01da-4074-a806-638583278465"><strong><span>Search for woman who disappeared from bus stop nearly two months ago</span></strong></a></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I'm so excited and proud about these games," Fox said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Overall the IOC gave Brisbane a positive report card, happy to see "the sport venue work is moving in the right direction".</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>But at question time, organisers got a grilling on how to pull off a Games spread across a state and whether the venues would be finished in time.</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" data-reactroot="" data-src="//www.9news.com.au/national/brisbane-olympics-2032-international-olympic-committee-meeting-in-milan/0dc875ec-eb8b-42dd-9eb9-b4fefe89bd9d" data-widget-id="AR_5"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"We are working with the IOC on the revised budget, the revised budget when we finish with that work product we'll now have these new locations," Liveris said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Those will be new costs that we have to work closely with our government delivery partners on.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Sometimes I wonder why was I selected? Well, I have built things before, I built them on time and on budget, or, under budget."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said it was a "Games for all of Queensland but that won't cost Queenslanders one extra cent".</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The opposition doesn't believe that.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I think Queenslanders will be rightly confused by the mixed messages they're getting from the Brisbane 2032 boss and Queensland's premier," Opposition Leader Steven Miles said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The IOC is undertaking a review of all medal events, which means Brisbane will have to wait until the end of the year to finalise its program.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Breakdancing is pushing for a comeback but Liveris is doubtful of Raygun's return.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I don't know about that," he said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"They [breaking] have definitely applied to us, so we will see.
