<div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A </span><a href="http://9news.com.au/teenagers" rel="" target="" title="teenager"><span>teenager</span></a><span> is appealing for help after he was glassed in the face outside a party in </span><a href="http://9news.com.au/perth" rel="" target="" title="Perth"><span>Perth</span></a><span>.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Bailey Carr and his family are desperate for answers as police hunt for the person who threw a glass lampshade through an open car window, injuring the then 17-year-old and his friend.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The nightmare end to the night out in Wattle Grove left Mr Carr with slashes across his face and glass lodged in his eyes.</span></div></div><div><div id="adspot-mobile-medium"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"My ears were really ringing, really loud, and I felt like a burning sensation on my face, like my face was on fire," he told 9News.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A group was walking along Magma Road in the early hours of Sunday, July 13, when Mr Carr and his friends drove past after leaving a party.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Someone threw a glass lampshade into the car, where it shattered.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I reached out and touched my face, and there was just a pool of blood," Mr Carr said.</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" data-reactroot="" data-src="//www.9news.com.au/national/perth-news-emergency-surgery-for-teen-after-bizarre-perth-glass-attack/782df74e-b14e-4c99-a79b-1326588e4779" data-widget-id="AR_5"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"My mate in the passenger seat got cut in the arm, and yeah he pulled the glass out and it was squirting blood everywhere."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The young apprentice was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where doctors worked for six hours in emergency surgery. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"(They said) your son is going to lose his eyeball," mother Kelly Carr said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"So that was horrific to hear that news, so thankfully they were able to do the surgery and keep everything together."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Mr Carr spent four days in hospital, including his 18th birthday.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The promising footy player's vision is improving but doctors warn it may never return to normal. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"Dealing with it has its days, some days I don't want to go out," Mr Carr said.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>"I'm not allowed to play my last season of junior footy, which I've played since I was little, so yeah that was pretty bad to hear."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Mr Carr has a long recovery ahead.
