electric scooters and off‑road bikes for destruction and charged dozens of children in a crackdown on reckless use of electric rideables in </span><a href="http://9news.com.au/perth" rel="" target="" title="Perth's"><span>Perth's</span></a><span> north.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Operation Moorhead kicked off on Monday in response to reports of "violent and antisocial behaviour across the northern suburbs" by people riding the devices.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The reports included rock throwing, riding recklessly and  unregistered on public roads, evading police, harassing members of the public, and intelligence" to launch targeted patrols and rapid police responses to incidents throughout the Joondalup district.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Police said 76 e-rideables were seized and would be destroyed, and 61 children aged 12 to 16 and 15 adults were charged with 183 offences including traffic matters.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Acting Inspector Scott Gillis said the operation had been a significant goULFa"><span>"These devices can pose a danger not only to the rider, but also to pedestrians and other road users if they are used unsafely."</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Police and Road Safety Minister Reece Whitby said the seized devices were illegal to use on the road. </span></div></div><div
