<div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Grave fears are held for the passenger of a car after it became submerged in a National Park south of Sydney. </span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A car is believed to have crashed into Audley Weir in the Sutherland Shire around 1.15am this morning.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>There were two men inside the car, a driver and a passenger.</span></div></div><div><div id="adspot-mobile-medium"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>The 20-year-old driver was able to free himself from the sinking car and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A passenger – a man believed to be in his 20s – became trapped in the vehicle and is yet to be found.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>A multi-agency search operation is underway to try find the passenger, with the Crash Investigation Unit and Marine Area Command joining the rescue efforts.</span></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Police have established a crime scene and an investigation has been launched.</span></div></div><div><div class="OUTBRAIN" data-reactroot="" data-src="//www.9news.com.au/national/desperate-search-for-man-who-was-trapped-inside-sinking-car/a500bfc1-1d2c-4506-850e-b0034f411fda" data-widget-id="AR_5"></div></div><div class="block-content"><div class="styles__Container-sc-1ylecsg-0 goULFa"><span>Audley Road at Audley Weir in the Royal National Park has been closed in both directions.
